located right behind the Lions Community Centre
An exciting new project at a most appropriate time. The concern over the nations
health, fitness and wellbeing is of paramount importance. The Expo should revitalise
our interest and participation in a healthier lifestyle.
The project, the first of its kind in our town, is in an evolutionary state.
Lion Pat Young, a most energetic member of the club, with many succesful project under his belt, is spearheading this timely project. Fittingly the recently opened
Community
Sports Complex, right behind the Community Cetre (801 St. George Street), will be part of the venue.
Health & Fitness related vendor's will display their wares in the Lions Community Centre, with interesting guest speakers on Health and Fitness related matters in the Presiden's room.
Planned activities at the Sport Complex
- Tennis Tournament and Skills Competition
- 8 Team Adult StreetHockey Tournament on outdoor rink
- Skateboard Competitions & Demonstrations
- Various skills contests
Other planned activities
- 2 km. Children's Race (age 8-12)
- 5 km. Walk age 13 - 17 minimum
- 5 km. High School Challenge
- 8 km. Adult's Race (age 18 plus)

As with all new ventures the plans and activities are evolutionary and will be firmed up
by the time the doors open to the participants.
